Poucos minutos depois, já na Avenida Maracanã, ao lado do Shopping Tijuca, uma barreira policial tentou impedir a passagem dxs manifestantes disparando bombas de efeito moral e de gás lacrimogênio, causando um recuo dos ativistas que seguiram pelas ruas internas para tentar chegar ao estádio por algum caminho alternativo.

Os policias militares do Choque iniciaram uma ação de perseguição aos manifestantes, entrando em confronto em diversas esquinas ao redor do estádio, com bombas de gás lacrimogênio e balas de borracha. Os disparos de bombas de gás lacrimogênio eram muito fortes, chegando a grandes distâncias e causando forte impacto. Um manifestante foi atingido por uma bala de borracha em uma das mãos e um jornalista chileno foi atingido no ombro.

Segundo denúncias de outros midiativistas, como o Jornal a Nova Democracia (youtu.be/DH9HkTlq4El) um grupo de "pitboys" recebeu "autorização" da Polícia Militar para agredir ativistas. Pelo menos três manifestantes foram agredidos, mas a principal vítima foi o manifestante e deficiente físico Edson Rosa, agredido de forma covarde. Os agressores não se intimidaram com a presença de câmeras e outras pessoas. Quando um dos agressores foi questionado por jornalistas sobre ter recebido autorização policial para cometer crimes de agressão, recebeu a seguinte resposta: “o que o policial falou para mim foi o seguinte, se alguém te atacar e você tiver que se defender pode se defender”, em seguida questionaram se o manifestante havia lhe atacado e ele respondeu: “Não, não”. No entanto, testemunhas afirmam que um policial de moto parou perto deles e disse que eles poderiam atacar manifestantes.

Aproximadamente às 19h30, no Bulevard 28 de Setembro, um Policial Civil saiu de um carro armado com um revólver e ameaçou um grupo de manifestantes que tentava seguir pela rua. Após um bate boca com alguns que não se intimidaram, mesmo com a presença da arma letal, o Policial efetuou um disparo para o alto, em uma via cheia de pessoas e carros. Depois, quando o número de manifestantes e jornalistas aumentou ao seu redor, ele entrou novamente no carro (um Volkswagen cinza, placa KNW 2735) no qual tinha, pelo menos, mais duas pessoas , e saiu em alta velocidade, fazendo mais três disparos. Não houve registro de pessoas feridas por arma letal.

Parte dos manifestantes seguiu em direção à Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro – UERJ, se deparando com mais uma barreira policial. Como o objetivo do grupo era chegar até o Maracanã para protestar junto aos torcedores internacionais, xs manifestantes se dispersaram, e em grupos menores, deram a volta pelas ruas adjacentes, driblando o cerco policial e, finalmente, chegando ao estádio no fim do jogo, no momento em que os torcedores estavam saindo do estádio.

Em pelo menos dois pontos da calçada do estádio, grupos de manifestantes fizeram gritos de protestos em meio a um mar de pessoas que saíam do jogo em direção ao metrô.
Um grupo da Tropa de Choque chegou a se aproximar, mas nada pôde fazer devido a quantidade de torcedores ao redor, correndo o risco de queimar ainda mais a imagem da corporação diante da mídia internacional e dos turistas. Após a chegada ao estádio e cumprido o objetivo de protestar, os ativistas se dispersaram.

Segundo informações de pessoas que trabalhavam dentro do estádio, um forte cheiro de gás lacrimogênio disparado pela polícia, entrou pelos portões B e C do Maracanã, até o portão A, fazendo torcedores e funcionários passarem mal.

Durante toda a manifestação foram relatados dois feridos por bala de borracha, um ferido por agressão física e um detido e liberado horas depois.

"There won't be no Cup! FIFA GO HOME!": Demonstration at the inauguration of Maracanã in the World Cup

This sunday, June 15, Maracanã debuted its first game at this Protests' Cup. Outside, protesters got together its flags and a music lineup to make one more protest against the irregularities promoted by the World Cup. Aproximately 500 people concentrated at Sãens Pena Square, in Tijuca, and even before the game started, walked alongside streets to the direction of the stadium.

A few minutes after, at Avenida Maracanã, besides Shopping Tijuca, a policial barrier tried to stop the way of the protesters shooting at them pepper spray and teargas, the group having to withdraw to side-streets to try to get to the stadium by an alternative route.

Militar policimen from Choque initiated a persecution to the protesters, beginning a confront at different corners around the stadium with all their weapons - pepper spray, teargas and rubber bullets. Th shots from the teargas bombs were so strong that reached far away distances causinga huge impact (AROUND THE REGION?). A protester were hit by a rubber bullet in on the his hands and a chilean jornalist at the shoulder.

Alerts from media activists such as Jornal a Nova Democracia (youtu.be/DH9HkTlq4El) say that a group of "pitboys" received police "autorization" to hurt activists. At least three of them were hurt, but the main victim was the protester Edson Rosa, cripple, cowardly hurt. The aggresors were not intimidated by cameras or other people around. When questioned about by journalists of having received policial autorization to commit agression crimes to activists, he answered: “what the policemen told me was this, if someone attacks you and you have to deffend yourself you can do it”. And then a jornalist asked if any protester had attacked him and he answered: “No, no”. In despite of that, witnesses affirmed that a policeman in a motorbike stopped near them and say that they could attack protesters.

Aproximately 19h30, at Bulevard 28 de Setembro, a Civil Policeman comes out of a car armed with a gun and threats a group of protesters that tried to walk on the streets. After a discussion with people that were not intimidated by his lethal arm, the policeman shoots to the air, at a street sided by buildings and cars. After that, when the number of protesters and journalists were even higher around him, he comes inside his car again (a gray Volkswagen, number plate KNW 2735) where it had, at least, two more people besides him, and got out at high speed, making three more shots. There weren't any records of people beig hurt by lethal weapon.

Part of the protesters followed in the direction of Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro – UERJ, coming by a policial roadblock. The objective was to get to Maracanã to protest alongside international supporters. At this barrier, the protesters cleared away, in small groups, and got around by sidestreets, dribbling the policial siege and finally reaching the stadium, at the end of the game, in the moment when supporters were coming out of the stadium.

In at least two different points of the stadium sidewalk, a group of protesters made order shouts in a sea of people that came out of the game in the direction of the metro. A big group from Choque came near by but couldn't do anything because of the high quantity of supporters around, with the risk of causing an even higher damage to the image of the police miltar corporation, in the front of the international media and tourists. After getting to the stadium and the objetive of the protest reached, activists dispersed.

By information from people that worked inside the stadium, a strong smeel of teargas spread by the police, came inside gates B and C, until the A entrance, making supporters and workers suffer from sickness.

During the whole time of the protest, it was reported two hurt by rubber bullet, one hit by physical aggresion and another imprisioned and released a couple of hours later.
